It’s official. Google’s DeepMind AlphaGo AI has taken the series against Lee Sedol, ranked second in the world, in the game of Go — winning four games to one. That’s a pretty clear and decisive victory.

Yep, the machine wins here.

The AI only appeared to only truly falter a few times, once in game four when Sedol “pressured AlphaGo into a mistake that it couldn’t recover from” (Source: @demishassabis, DeepMind CEO). It made a big mistake in game five but apparently managed to recover incredibly well! That’s a pretty impressive record right there.
